.....a Political party based on decency and human values.

I don't know about you but my feet are getting wet and by the end of today the water will have risen to my knees. It's budget day and the "official" leak is saying that more houses will be built in the UK to stimulate the economy. I guess that will be more in  South East, as if we're not already buckling under the weight of new builds on green field sites, struggling with 3rd World roads, dirt tracks where tarmac used to be, all of us wondering why the hell we bothered with alloys when we needed tractor wheels and in the case of the South East, boats to cope with the subsidence of the land under the weight of all the new homes....
The only consolation that I have is at least it's not any of the Milliband's and that moron Ed Balls, members of the last Government, the idiots that started this rot. The downside is that Cameron is indecisive, floundering and clueless.
This cull of badgers, a decision so flawed that the lies are escaping through the cracks. The science is all wrong, the people involved are forcing poor logic and bad decisions to shape the solution they want. They have discovered that more cattle have bovine TB than they thought. They discovered this through more extensive testing and their logical conclusion? The badgers are spreading the infection further than we thought...the reality? Increased testing has shown that more cattle have the disease and are spreading it to uncontaminated cattle.
The illegal transfer of cattle by farmers has also been highlighted with several farmers being caught more than once. A small fine, a slap on the wrist and on with the cull, nevermind that these people are spreading the infection, it's the fault of the badgers......

I am totally sick of the illogical logic that seems to be governing this Country, spending £billions on a rail project whilst telling us that it is a time of austerity, sending £millions to Europe for what? Where is the return on our investment? What is the investment worth to my pocket, personally? Telling me that we have to make cuts to services and then deferring them for a couple of years....is the mounting debt and ruin of the economy not that urgent after all? Why cut services when there is £33 billion going to a rail project to replace an existing, working railway to save an hour or so travel....Why???

Part of this rant has come about because today is budget day and gormless George will stand infront of a door, awkwardly holding a red suitcase up for the UK press to snap away at and all the while we see the difficult smile of an idiot, one step away from spittle dribbling from the corner of his mouth, unused to the flash of a camera. I'm not saying that he doesn't know what he thinks he's doing and that at heart he is trying to stimulate the economy in some bizarre way but I can't help but feel his agenda is very different to mine. I refuse to buy from Amazon, Starbucks, Apple and Google in protest at their tax evasion. I object to anyone that dodges tax, particularly big business as I have to make up for their deficit. For the Government to say it will name and shame individuals that make use of tax loopholes is an asinine thing to say, surely it is far simpler to plug the holes. If the loopholes are legal then no-one is doing anything wrong so how can you possibly name and shame someone that is within the law and within their rights? Morally ambiguous maybe, but legal? Yes.

I am sick...sick of the lunatics that decided today that the Police will treat missing persons calls differently. They will have an absent list for people who aren't where they should be and a missing list...where people aren't where they sh.........hmmm. This will be decided by a phone operator. The NSPCC are disgusted as Children Homes residents are the people most likely to disappear on a regular basis and are very likely to be on the absent list, meaning the Police won't treat them as a priority. I guess we all understand that Children in care homes are always safe and are never vulnerable. They can hardly be classed as the vulnerable in society......and pigs will fly, North Korea will disarm and the WMD's in Iraq will suddenly appear and Tony Blair will be a hero rather than a murderer.
Have we learned nothing from the Savile scandal? He took children from care homes and groomed them for other paedophiles and we are about to take the Police off the case and make it easier for child abusers to carry on.
If I didn't know better it would appear as if this was designed to allow high up and connected child molesters and rapists easier access to uncared for children. If I didn't know better I could start to think that the Savile enquiry is one big cover up, it is well known that he moved in senior circles, Government circles, why haven't there been any high up arrests? But of course that is stupid thinking, I am sure the Police will arrest everyone involved, no matter who or what they are, after all, it is their job.

I am disillusioned with it all. Stupid, moronic, undemocratic politics that fly in the face of the public to serve a few. I am surprised that no-one has leveraged the capabilities of the Internet and effectively formed a Political party based on decency and human values. Forget the educated few that have ruled us for so long, they no longer serve the people of this era. In times past, when there were class issues, they served a purpose, maintaining economic stability within an empire, but in this day and age they belong in the past.
It really is time for a new way of Politics. My eldest daughter is old enough to vote in the next election, my hope is that her generation doesn't f**k it up as much as we appear to have. I hope that someone somewhere stands as an Independent Candidate using common sense as a policy and the Internet to garner some grassroots support. Someone that could take us away from the sleaze, dirt and corruption.....such wishful thinking but I long for the people that are meant to be running the show to stop spending my money on crap and start thinking about me and what I want....I want them to really arrest the paedophiles and I want them to look after children and old people as I've been one and hope to be the other one day. Is all of that really too much to ask?
